Coronavirus (COVID-19) Information

  • The recent outbreak of the Coronavirus has caused a high demand for N95 masks and other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Global demand for these products has escalated.

  • We are constantly working with suppliers to have the most updated list of providers with equipment in stock and ready to ship.

  • On April 3, the CDC updated their guidelines in light of the continued spread of the COVID pandemic. They now recommend ALL citizens wear a face mask of some kind. They have included infographics, displayed below, on how to make a homemade cloth cover.

  • Per the updated CDC guidance, a homemade cloth covering will suffice to help slow the spread from individuals in the community who are infected but not showing symptoms. However, this is NOT guidance for medical professionals. They continue to recommend reserving surgical face masks and N95 respirators for healthcare professionals and those at high risk of exposure. See April 3 guidance on facemasks for the general population here.

There is currently no vaccine to prevent coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). The best way to prevent illness is to avoid being exposed to this virus. To help prevent the spread of all respiratory diseases, the CDC recommends the following procedures:

  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.

  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.

  • Stay home when you are sick.

  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.

  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe.

Handwashing is a great preventative measure, for proper technique check out this helpful handwashing guide from one of our favorites- Alton Brown.

Update: In light of the current nationwide PPE shortage, we hope to contribute by connecting healthcare providers, clinics, and hospitals with the protective equipment they need. Additionally, any profits we earn through the affiliate sale of protective equipment will be donated to go-fund-me campaigns aimed at purchasing PPE for healthcare workers most impacted by this shortage. Current campaign we are contributing to is found here.
