Gloves
Nitrile
Nitrile is a synthetic rubber compound with higher puncture resistance than any other glove material. Nitrile also has a better chemical resistance than Latex or Vinyl gloves.

Latex
Latex comes from rubber trees and is more biodegradable than Nitrile. It is often cheaper on a per glove basis which adds up for large clinics, eateries, and laboratory settings. Some people can develop an allergy to Latex.

Vinyl:
Vinyl is often cost effective, but the least favorable material for manufacturing gloves. The main reason for this is because vinyl is less durable than latex or nitrile, and less sensitive to touch than the other fabrics or materials. It has limited chemical resistance to organic or water based solvents. Additionally, unless properly sized, they are often not form fitting. Still, they are an effective barrier for blood, dirt, and grime.

Choosing Nitrile vs Latex
Choose Nitrile if you desire a stronger, more resistant glove, or have a latex allergy. Consider latex if you are purchasing large numbers of gloves for an industry setting where chemical or puncture resistance is not a requirement.
